longer bio:
Born and raised in Minnesota, Anna Gracia is a forever-Midwesterner who moved to San Francisco to play Division I tennis for The University of San Francisco. After years of study and work, tallying up a CPA license, a Master’s in Education, 2 teaching credentials, and a sleep debt that will never ever be repaid, she decided to continue living in one of the most expensive cities in the world and start writing books instead.
Her first YA novel, the highly acclaimed Boys I Know, was both an ABA Indies Introduce and Indie Next pick, and was featured in The New York Times, Paste, Seventeen, and more. She is also the author of the YA novel The Misdirection of Fault Lines, which draws on her tennis expertise, and the adult novel The Breakup Vacation, a college-set party book that draws on a completely different type of expertise.
When not writing, you can find her napping, wishing she was napping, or lecturing absolutely everyone about the dismal state of public education funding. Her three kids keep urging her to hurry up finish writing the next book so they can celebrate it with cake. See more at anna-gracia.com.
